To me it just looks like its just a small wood frame built underneath with the wheels attached to it, but I’m wondering if I’m missing something huge. I mention it since this is a hell of a lot easier to find than the Caddy tailgate, hell saw like 4 of them at the junkyard on Sunday.

I don’t see any through attachments from the trunk lid down into the suspected frame the casters on on. That makes me think its actually a metal frame that was welded to the underside of the trunk lid.

That’s what I’d do. Not that I am a great builder of trunk furniture. I need one of those.

I think it is tabs welded to the legs to allow sheet metal screws to attach the frame it sits on to the reinforcement ribs of the trunk. Easiest and simplest way.

It could just be screwed to the trunk lid structure.

That looks quite easy to build actually. I may have to steal that idea.

What if... and I'm just spitballing here... you got TWO of those. Weld the curved top edges together @ a 105 degree angle on a metal frame and VOILA! Lawn love seat!
